This cook book is really nice along with the recipes the author has bits of information about her family and how all of her 8 children helped her out with doing this book. I am from SC and a lot of these I am familiar with. The recipes are easy to make and most of them call for items you already have in your pantry. A lot of recipes that I find and would like to try calls for items I don't have on hand and don't use but I love the ones in this book. The oatmeal bars sound so good and you can add nuts, raisins, or other good things. I want to thank Leann Hamby of Herald Press for sending me this beautiful book for my honest review. I love the book and I believe you will too.
